Garrett will address the Rotary Club of Brookhaven on Wednesday, November 20.

"Garrett Smiley, Indra Sofian, and Wesley Samples — all of whom have founded revenue-generating, successful startups — met at Georgia Tech and founded Sora.
Prior to Sora, Garrett co-founded charities that built wells in developing nations and taught financial literacy concepts to foster kids.
Indra worked as a venture partner at Contrary Capital, a university-focused venture capital firm and started an organization called The Intern Project that hosted a community of interns in cities around the country.
Wesley co-founded a creative agency called Elevate Media and served as Co-Director of a student entrepreneur organization called Startup Exchange at Georgia Tech. "

The 2019-20 District Conference will be held at Jekyll Island on April 30 - May 3, 2020. This is a great opportunity to spend time with fellow Rotarians, enjoy fellowship with members from other clubs, enjoy the island with your family, and learn more about all the great work Rotary District 6900 is doing!

You can stay anywhere on Jekyll Island you like, of course, and many members of our Club will be at the Jekyll Island Club (link here).
HOLIDAY CARDS FOR GEORGIA CARES CLIENTS
You will find some blank holiday cards and pens on your lunch table. Please take a few moments before and during the meeting to handwrite greetings in a few cards. They will be collected and forwarded to Georgia Cares.
Georgia Cares is an organization that provides services to children who are victims of human trafficking. The Rotary Club of Brookhaven supported Georgia Cares this year with a $2,000 District Grant that provided the organization with a high-speed, high-capacity printer for their outreach and communication needs.
As the holidays approach, Georgia Cares solicits gifts for their clients in particular residential situations. They have that covered but have asked us to write out some handwritten holiday cards for the children.
There is no need to sign your name or address the cards or envelopes. A simple message inside will lift the spirits of the child and let him or her know that someone in Atlanta wishes them well. Messages may be similar to the following:
“Sending love, joy and peace to you this holiday season from a friend in Atlanta.”
“All of us wish you a wonderful holiday season and peace and joy in the new year.”
