ALL MEMBERS - PLEASE EMAIL TONY THIS WEEK

Please send an email to Tony this week (awshaffer@gmail.com) with the answer to the following two questions:

1 - Will you attend the March 11 meeting at St. Martin's Episcopal School? The School is inviting all Club members to lunch that day (see menu below); I just need a count for the kitchen staff.

2 - Have you signed up for the District Conference yet? We need a real number for planning purposes. Please remember that the Club will cover new members' registration fees (Dan, Matilda, Jennifer, Chaitin, Thomas). Simply register, pay your registration and forward the receipt to Tony and Mike.

Please reply to the email by Friday, March 6 with your answers to these two questions. Thanks!

JONATHAN BRILLING: DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR, AUDITORY-VERBAL CENTER, INC.

Jonathan Brilling is the Community Engagement and Development Coordinator at the Auditory-Verbal Center. The Auditory-Verbal Center is a nonprofit organization that teaches deaf and hard of hearing children to listen and speak without the need for lip reading or sign language.

Having direct experience with the life of the deaf and hard of hearing, Jonathan has a passion for public speaking and enjoys sharing his story and networking. Every child deserves the chance to be able to learn to listen and speak and his mission is to make sure parents know they have a choice.
Jonathan serves on several state committees including Georgia Pathways, EDHI Stakeholders Committee, and the Bill 844 Advisory Committee, to improve the quality of care for deaf and hard of hearing children in the state of Georgia. Jonathan is also Treasurer and President-Elect for the Georgia Chapter of AG Bell.
In his free time, Jonathan enjoys fly fishing, camping, and hanging out with his family.

END POLIO NOW

Many thanks to all Brookhaven Rotary Club members who pledged contributions to Polio Plus at our last meeting! We had nearly $2,000 in pledges in that single meeting, meaning that with the Gates Foundation 2-to-1 matches, we will have put an additional $5,000+ in the field against polio. Great job, BRC!
